Is there a way to set up multiple gateways so that certain categories of products can insert funds into different accounts?

I don't think so on BV5 with out some serious modification. We set up a separate store for that purpose. I think Corneliu may have been doing some of this.

I've wrote a plugin to allow multiple "stores" to run from the same core/installation and thus allowing different gateways. But still only one gateway per store.
However, I'm not too excited about my plugin. I have major problems due to the fact I don't want to change the BV Core that assumes lots of stuff about the site and I don't know if I want to get it fixed without changes to the core. However if I change the core it will be hard to maintain or sell it as you could not apply new SPs on top of it. Maintainance atm is a pain ... unfortunatelly ..
Stewart, what you want is possible to be done and I can do it for you. My question is how would you decide which GW to use for which product and how would you charge for extra costs like shipping costs?
Also, how do you plan to apply stuff like order discounts?
