I recently launched a new BV website called welcomemobility.co.uk.
I've been successfully generating the feed and uploading to Google Base / Shopping, and products are now appearing on certain search term returns.
The problem is that I'm having trouble getting the products anywhere near the top of the returns. As I understand it, doing well on Google Shopping isn't dependent on all the usual PageRank factors which normal Google web searches are associated with.
I realise this is a problem for everyone and that the competition for the top slots is bound to be fierce, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips for me.
Some of the items i expect to do well on Google Shopping on particular search terms, like for instance a product actually called 'Gel Cushion' I would think would do well using the search 'Gel Cushion', don't actually seem to do so.
Anyway, if anyone can offer some advice, I'd be very grateful.
All the best,
FE
