One of our manufacturers has three different part numbers for each of the sizes. Example, Small is 1601 – Medium is 1602 – Large is 1603 – BV wants us to use the same part number like 1601A – 1601B – 1601C. How do we do this?

and

I have a question concerning the same situation. I want to offer volume prices for each different size. For example:

1601

Qty 1 $150 each

Qty 10 $140 each

Qty 25 $130 each

1602

Qty 1 $190 each

Qty 10 $185 each

Qty 25 $180 each

1603

Qty 1 $210 each

Qty 10 $205 each

Qty 25 $198 each

Is there a way to do this? Right now the way I have inputted the volume discounts are only showing one scenario, after I change size the volume prices don’t change. Can you offer some help

Yep, you've found a limit in the volume discounts tool. We've been asking for a "% off" calculator which will do what you're looking for - modified prices could then be discounted.

For now, set the sizes up as different products (just as you've done above), then offer the volume discounts. Gets around the SKU editing problem and shipping charge differences (s, m, l) too.

I have been thinking of a way to do this.

setup different sku's for each size don't show them on the cart. (Keep them active may not matter.)

On your product choices use the sku's for your separate products but put an a, b, c or something at the end of them.

Write a bit of code that when the volume discount is figured to take the choice sku and remove the last digit of your sku and find the volume discount on this item. instead of the main item.

There might be a way to change the volume discounts on the screen at the same time. I have not applied time to do this but that might be a way to do it.

Other wise ask BVsoftware to set choices up so you can use a product as your choice. and then use that product for your volume pricing and other pricing.

We have run into this issue and are not sure we are going to take the time to change it.

If we do I will post how it worked.

I have found how to set up different sku numbers for different sizes... Let me know if you did not figure it out.
