I'm getting familiar right now with my test implementation of BV5. I placed an order, paid/depsoited by check, the status is "In Process / Paid / Unshipped". In the order adminstrator, I selected that I wanted to see all orders "Ready for Shipping". This order isn't showing up.
Is this a bug, or am I fundamentally misunderstanding what constitutes "ready for shipping"? Thanks, |

"Ready for Shipping" is an order status like "On Hold" or "In Process". Unlike those two, "Ready for Shipping" is custom status (as opposed to a system status). There is no code in BV that automatically assigns "Ready for Shipping" or any other custom status.
"Ready for Shipping" is typically used by companies that have separate accounting and shipping departments with a gate keeper in between. Accounting would receive the payment, then the gate keeper would review the payment and manually change the status to "Ready for Shipping" (or any other custom status that has meaning to the shipping department), then the shipping department would process the shipment. If you don't have or don't want a gatekeeper, you can simply select Payment = Paid and Shipping = Unshipped to see all the paid, unshipped orders. |
