I am a rookie BVC integrator. Tell me if I'm on the right track for this requirement: our client wants the ability to send every customer an email. I am thinking of piggy-backing on the Mailing List feature and creating a "AllCustomers" mailing list, and adding some code to the Checkout page to automatically add the given email address to that mailing list. Or I could use a trigger on the User table. Or...

The only pitfall with that is that the customer can then unsubscribe themselves from the mailing list. If you want to allow that, then I like the idea of editing the checkout page to subscribe them to a mailing list. |

Thanks Aaron. Yes we would want to honor an unsubscribe (obviously) so we'll add that feature as well.
