I am a VB.Net developer, but mostly client-server applications. I've build just a few web sites using VWD - very simple web sites.

Now my boss wants me to maintain a site that was built by someone else using BV Commerce, and then maybe Build some new e-commerce sites for new customers.

I have DL'd the free sample - but what should I read first?

Also, what tools are available to my customers to help them get new orders off their web sites and how to put their product onto their web site?

Tom.

I tried to set this up on a GoDaddy web site hosting account. ( Not a virtual machine)

GoDaddy provides a virtual folder & a SQL server - but not a lot of control on the web server. ( I'm pretty sure that it is shared with many other people)

I wonder if anyone has experience setting up BV Commerce on a Godaddy web host account...?

OK, I gotta ask, why would you consider running your e-comm site with Go-Daddy?

Do you mean why use GoDaddy over any other hosting company?

Their prices look good - Maybe you know something that I don't know...

is there a better way?

I know of a BV Commerce website that is using a server at "Rackforce" but they seem to charge more for their service.

also, I dont have big servers, a big UPS or big bandwidth here.
