I am not sure if GoDaddy lets you run executables inside a webhosting account.
They might if I had a virtual machine there.
I am getting this error when trying to open my sight for the first time, after copying the BVC files to my account.

No Answer huh?
Well, I called GoDaddy, and set up a "Virtual Server"
I installed SQl Server express and the free BV Commerce sample.
The learning curve is steep - it is difficult to figure out how BV Commerce works, because it is so complex.
The complexity is not a bad thing, it gives users a lot of power; but it is difficult to set up for the beginner.

I don't think a shared hosting plan with Go Daddy with work due to the permissions (as you're seeing with that error). You will probably be OK with a virtual server, but I have no first-hand experience with them. |

My company has a site set up on a virtual server, and it is working fairly well.
we mostly have issues with File Sizes - using too much memory, or too much page file usage - it crashes ocasionally due to "out of memory"
For our NEXT customer, we tried the VM on Godaddy, but ran into issues with them being inflexible on system settings like page file size.
We now had RESPOSIO set it up for us - So far so good
I still have a lot to learn though...

We use Resposio, too. You shouldn't run into memory and size issues with them. Best of all, they are very familiar with BV. |
