Does anyone have any documentation ( or know where I can find it) for the BVC5-ImportTool ?

I have been playing with it.

it seems to make tab delimited TXT files, and it seems to open CSV files.

I am assuming that a person could edit a TXT file in excel and then save it as a CSV and import it back to a web store.

I tested that; but I keep getting the error "Reading Column Names...The first column name is required to be "bvin".

If I open the CSV with notepad, I can see that the first column name is "bvin"

it looks like a "false error" to me.

is there a way around this?

Am I doing something wrong?

Tom, have you tried to import it as a .txt file as opposed to a .csv?

The tool misled me to believe that my only choice was CSV

I ignored the CSV file type and used TXT instead - it worked

Thx for the help

CSV refers to the content inside the file. The file extension doesn't really matter. Just the data inside.
