Hey all,

I know we can see the items that the customers request to be returned. But what if we are exchanging that item with another item?

I know that BV will handle inventory properly but i'm wondering if there is a way I can create a report and see what has been exchanged to what?

I'm affraid there is no such report capability out-of-the-box but it could be customized.

Hey Customizer,

Thanks for the reply. I assume the exchanges aren't being tracked at all so there's really no column that we can look at in order to extract that information using SQL.

Are you saying that core BV will need to be customized in order to create such report?

I implemented a workaround but it's kind of lame. It basically requires the Store Manager to add "Exchanged ThisShirt to ThatShirt" on the order notes so that I can look up the word "Exchanged" using SQL and pull up that note on the report. But obviously it can easily break.
