I am cursious as to how people use affiliates to report sales. Do you use them to track customers coming from other websites like twitter or facebook? What about from adwords or other advertising methods? How do you set them up for this type of reporting. What conclusions have you made?

Just curious.

We use this for email marketing, data feeds, and occasionally for PPC campaigns. However, Google Analytics provides methods for tracking links with better reporting, so this would be preferable. One reason we use it is to provide clients with easy visibility into different marketing initiatives.

Google anlaytics tracking for some reason tracks only my receipt page. I went ahead and added the script to the footer html of all pages as a quick fix for now. Any idea as to why the analytics won't track the other pages?
