We have a potential client that is using SF5 and I'm wondering if there is an easy way to convert to BV5. (Minus me uploading all their products manually.)

We know there was a conversion from SF5 to 2004, but have only seen the SF6 to BV5 conversion.

We are thinking that the best way to deal with this is to convert SF5 to 2004 and then convert 2004 to BV5. Any thoughts on our logistics? And, I found a post with a link to convert SF5 to 2004, but the link is dead. Can we get a link for conversion?

Thanks!

Michelle

Hey Michelle.

Can you move the site to a local test environment and upgrade it to 6.5 or higher and then run the import tool?

If this isn’t an option, contact our support team and we will take a look at it for you.

Thanks!

Nope, unfortunately we can't do that! We abandoned another ecommerce product when they were at version 5.0. (Been a BVC shop ever since).

Wasn't there a tool to upgrade from SF5 to bvc 2004?

If so, what we're thinking would be easiest to do is:

Use that old tool (the one that's not available via the forum anymore) to upgrade from SF5 to bvc 2004
* Then use another tool to upgrade from bvc2004 to BVC5.

That makes sense doesn't it?

Hello Kevin.

Yes, that makes sense. It is likely what we would have done.
