If you are using a markup language or wysiwyg editor in BV Commerce 5 the "PreTransform" field holds a copy of exactly what you entered while the regular description field holds the translated version of what you entered:
For example:
#This is my headline (would be in pre-transform)
<h1>This is my headline</h1> (would be in the regular field)
The pre-transform fields let you edit your original markup without converting it back from html.
