I have tried connector versions 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, and 3.13. They all seem to product the same error.

I am also using Quickbooks Pro 2007 and a BVC5-SP2 store. I can't tell if my problem is in the connector, QB, or the way I set up tax in the store.

I have set up a tax rule in BVC5 that applies 5% tax to orders shipped to Virginia, where I am. It works beautifully. When I export these orders, I would like for the tax to be included as a line item, but Quickbooks kicks the order back to the connector with an error of

Code:

ERROR: There is an invalid reference to QuickBooks Item "8000001A-1194219139" in the SalesReceipt line. QuickBooks error message: You cannot use the same tax item in both the line items and the txn tax.

"BVC Tax" is set up as a tax code in QB. I don't see any way to NOT have it set it up. At this point, I have the tax code set to 0% and will manually add line item tax to the Viriginia orders. Has anyone else gotten this to work? If I set up BVC Tax as a 5% tax, and let QB calculate it, then it does so FOR ALL ORDERS, regardless of state.

Here is the whole log entry for the export of a single order after telling the connector to add the tax as a line item.

Anyone else using this connector with BVC5 yet?

I am using the same software you are using. I'm not sure if mine is working right, but:
We are also importing our orders as Sales Receipts.
We are not charging taxes yet but soon will be.

Did you edit the list item BVC imported in QB and assign it an account?

I do not understand your question. The connector creates a list item called BVC Tax. When the sales receipt is imported, it either changes the sales receipt's tax code to BVC Tax, or is supposed to be able to add the tax as a line item. this works manually, just not with the connector.

In my situation, my BVC5 is not charging tax on all orders, but when I import my orders to QuickBooks sales tax is assigned to all orders. I then must manually go in and change them.

Yeah... that's what I have found. Seems like I found the way that everyone else is doing it. A manual process. Well... I just won't market to my home state... :)
