I bought BV Commerce last week, and got it running today. One of my problems was that the connection string for the database had User Instance=True in it. I was unable to access the database. The error message said the login was fine, but there was no process on the other end of the pipe.
I removed the reference to User Instances in the connection string, and the app came right up. So now I'm wondering if BV Commerce will work properly without a User Instance, or if I should expect problems in the future.
Are User Instances required?

No a user instance isn't required.
The "no process at the other end" error usually comes from SQL surface configuration problems. |
