BV Commerce 5 Import/Export Tool bvin related question

I know that when we import using the tool if we leave the bvin field blank it will add the guid for us.
When I do my import and create my own bvin it ignores my created bvin and replaces it with it's own.
When it does that it messes up my parent child relationships I'm importing.
Am I doing something wrong? |

You cannot do it the way you are writing here. You are expect to use the tool to perform the import. Agreed, there are a few problems with the import tool. But hey, the source for the import tool is available as well. I dont have it now with me butplease search in the forums. If you feel, something isnt working, please log a bug in the forums and fix it in the source code. |

I do use the tool provided for importing a tab csv file.
The question is Does the import tool replace the bvin in an csv file. You can't use your own bvin id's? |

Can you point me to the version of the tool that you are using? I can take a look at it and advise you on whats going on. |
