I see there is still nothing nailed down on QB Enterprise 8. We have not been able to use the connector for a year now anyway, so I guess we will go ahead and install QB9.

QuickBooks has not released an SDK that supports version 9/2009 yet. We are waiting on Intuit to get their **** in gear so we can update the connector.

I use 3.13 with QB Enterprise 8. No problems. What are the problems?
Works with Enterprise 9 too, but produces a small error in the beginning of the export. Other than that it seems to take off and run as normal. |

I was just notified by Intuit that my Payroll will no work with my current version of QB (2006) and need to update by March -- I suppose I will upgrade to 2009, but need to know if the Connector is going to work with it. |

Joe...
We spent countless hours with the QB connector on 2008 QB Enterprise and never got it to work. We finally had Write It Once to do us a script to import off of the "Print Invoices" screen. It takes a few more steps than the QB connector used to take when it worked correctly, but it does work for the most part, and we were able to get support from the Write It Once people. They have already told us that their script will work with 2009 QB enterprise without modification, but we have not installed 2009 yet.

I just asked our Intuit salesman to please give BV Commerce whatever they need to get our new Enterprise 9.0 to work with our website. He said that the SDK is available and has been for some time. This stuff is over my head so if there is some confusion here please let me know. We would certainly love it if we could get away from hand typing in over 5,000 orders. Marcus, can you help?

The SDK that Intuit provides says that it "should" be forward compatible but it isn't and doesn't support the 2009/Enterprise 9 changes. Their are many other complaints about this at developer.intuit.com

Marcus is correct, there are known compatability issues between the latest currently available SDK (7.0) and QB 2009...the developer community is eagerly awaiting SDK 8.0.

Thanks for the info. I doubt I will have much pull with them but I am going to at least squeal like crazy that they just talked me into their new $3,000 accounting software and I'm going to actually have to hand type in thousands of orders now. I guess I should have stuck with the $379 Quickbooks software. It's crazy.
