How to create a direct URL to a manufacturer's products?

I would like to be able to make direct URLs so I can direct customers to a manufacturer's entire range of products if needed, or other custom urls, something like www.store.com/SearchResult.aspx?manufacturer=55 (or something to that effect). Is there anyway I can accomplish this? |

I would suggest creating a dynamic category for your manufacturer. In the criteria section, just set the manufacturer. This way you can create a custom, re-written URL just for that manufacturer's category, and the products should be automatically updated. |

<SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">I have followed exactly what Cliff said and still don't see any products. I have created dynamic category for my manufacturer. In the criteria section, I just set the manufacturer and a custom URL just for that manufacturer's category. I am able to see the page but nothing else... no products... just the page with everything on it (header, footer, menu) and nothing else. Any help?

Just to see... I did the same thing - No products showed up - and ALL of my products are of one manufacturer, me.
The manufacturer's name shows up in the category menu, when clicked, the page is empty. I tried grid, list, etc....
Whoa! When I went back via "Edit this Category", the "manufacturers" field had been cleared. I found that I had to scroll ALL the way to the bottom of the page and click the familiar "Save Changes" button - NOT the "OK" button. Lousy place to hide it... long page!!!

Are you guys using SP1 or SP2? SP1 had a bug in it that was fixed in SP2 but I think it was in the product page. One of the options didn't work but I cant remember which one, Save Changes, Save and Continue, or Update.

Do your products have inventory set and have at least 1 in stock? I was having that problem -- imported all my products and no inventory was set so they didn't show. |

[3]I just noticed that all my products don’t have any inventory imported when I run migration tool. I manually added inventory to one of my item and that item still not showing up on the page... Your "Step 1" shows "Hide category" selected. How are you getting to the category page? Go to it through the Home Page, perhaps?
Have you tried a display other than 'Bulk Order List'? Are the products 'active'? |
