new customer account isn't being created???

I just did a test order on my web site and for some reason it doesn't ask to create a username and password to create an account. I don't see anything in the control panel for this, I'm either blind or its burried.
can anyone help? It says on the web site "your account" "sign in" so not sure what the deal is, you would think this would automatically get created when someone signs up.
please help I want to launch site tomorrow.

Requiring accounts/account creation during checkout is an optional thing. I believe this is something you'd setup in workflows, though I don't have the exact steps in front of me, but you might start investigating there (BVAdmin > Options > Workflows).
An account is automatically created when 'signing up', but not during the checkout process by default. |

You can require a login before checkout, but i havent seen a workflow in BV or a "how to" on creating an account automatically...

I'd like the create an account combined on the 1 page order form, somone has to have made this, seems like it would be smart thing to have?

I just checked. It's done in the workflows, so it'll work for any checkout, even the single-page. Just go to your workflows and edit the Checkout Started workflow. From the drop-down list select Require Login Before Checkout and click New. Click OK and the next time you go to checkout, if you aren't logged it, it will redirect you to the login/account creation page, and direct you back to the checkout after successful login.
