I love using the HTML Content Block and HTML Rotate Content Block. I would love even more if I could schedule when a content would be displayed. This would be great for my front page promotions. I could schedule each content block to be displayed at a certain time. I could create a month in advanced all my promotions and not worry about when to take them down and put new ones up.

ie:

Janurary 1 - 7 - HTML Content Block 1

Janurary 8 - 15 - HTML Content Block 2

Janurary 16 - 23 - HTML Content Block 3

Janurary 24 - 31 - HTML Content Block 4

Anyone see an easy way maybe to make a new HTML content Block and have a schedule?

BTW, I just learned how to create roating HTML/Text in my header with the Rotate HTML Content Block. Awesome!

Bryan,

You're in luck! The Develisys BVC 5 Toolkit that we released a few weeks ago includes one such widget. You can schedule content with a start and end date (and time). You can also optionally specify default content that is shown when you are outside the specified date range.

Hmm, can't say that I've seen that error before. We have one BV site that is running SP3.2 so I tried to install the toolkit and got an error due to a missing method in the BV Core assembly. So, it looks you will need a newer version than SP3 for this to work. Bummer.

Bryan,

There is a neat little app called Xigla Content Rotator that you can install and you can control all kinds of rotators on your site -- simply create the code in the Xigla app and insert it in one of the HTML boxes from within BV.
