When I add an item from the Bulk Order list or Detailed List type (essentially any Category listing which allows direct purchase of an item) the item is added to the cart even though it has customer choices. This happens if the choices are set as required too) I assume this should never happen as it allows items to be purchased without the customer choices being selected first.

I see that this has been fixed... is it in the SP1 because I am still having the same problem.

Yes, it should have been fixed in SP1. The detailed list should now display a "details" button when there are choices on a product.

I have SP1, the detailed list shows the product details button as decribed.

I don't see any change in the way the bulk order list works though. You can still add to the cart without being interupted.

Correct. The bulk order list, because of the way it works, is unable to have a details button for any items. The whole purpose of the bulk order list is to be able to go and add many items at once to your cart. Having them leave the list to go to the details for a particular item kinda voids the point of the bulk order list. Is there a specific scenario that you are looking for that we aren't seeing?

i dunno i created a product and created a required customer choice as shown in my screenshot above. I went to the detailed list view and only saw the add to cart button, again shown above.
I downloaded SP1 from my account yesterday. Is there anything else that needs to be patched or anything?

OK i figured out where the bug is... I tried a product choice and the details button shows. I tried a product modifier and the add to cart button still shows. Shouldnt the details button show if there is a product modifier?

You're right Bryan. We did notice that problem too (RE: product modifiers vs. product choices) and ended up swtching about 150 products to product choices from product modifiers.

Another thing worth noting is that those product modifiers have settings for shipping weights/dimensions. Those weights seem to be ignored on shipping calculations. We didn't realize that until we went live.

I would use product choices but I need to set a "upgrade" price just like in BV2004.7. BVC5 should still use the details button for product modifiers. I dont really care about the weights... but has that been fixed too?

we are fixing this issue is SP1. As far as the weights being ignored, we are going to issue a bug for that and look into it.

Sorry, I meant in SP2 we are fixing it. But I'm sure that you realized that since SP1 has already been released.
