Much of our product is oversize and we don't want to to have to do individual shipping quotes.
I see in packaging rules where it looks like I can assign package sizes by sku's
There also a file import option that the manual doesn't deal with.
Does anyone have experience with importing package rules?

Do you have my Shipping Rate Rule Providers installed? They use rules to define packaging and shipping costs. The rules can be based on SKU (i.e. When SKU = "ABC" assign a 24 x 24 x 24 package).
If so, then the Import/Export function work in tandem. You can export the rules from one shipping method, and then import them into another. The file that is exported is a text file and you can edit it with Notepad before you import it, but I think the editor in the web page is a lot easier to use. |
