Hi,
How do I enable the input of Shipping Date in the CheckOut page. I've got a specific requirement that the product has to be shipped on the date selected by the customer.

A really simple solution would be to add a text input 'choice' on the product's page and make it a required input. Not only is it built in already (no custom programming), but it will show up on all emails and printed receipts as a product choice. It can also vary product-to-product if more than one product is purchased on the same order.

We added a little section on the cart page that asked "Have a preferred delivery date?" and instructed the user to add their date to the Notes/Comments box on the checkout page. Repeated this same section on the checkout page.
It's worked well and just like Mitch's idea, it stays with the order (emails, receipts) the entire time in the customer notes section. |
