I have to reinstall my cart but the site has a design on it and has been live for a couple months. The check out process and the admin section is really slow - IT thinks there was an error on the install.

Can we install a demo site, set the cart up and add the design then when its finished use the key from my original purchase to activate the demo cart?

Anyone ever done this?

Sure you can do that. Thats how you are expected to do. :-) Remember to deactivate the old site.
