I have a ship method set up where orders totaling more than $75 receive free ground shipping. I am in the midst of setting up many bulk/case items weighing between 15 and 50 pounds each. The cost of many of these bulk items will easily exceed $75. Is there a way that I can exclude my bulk items or an entire category from this ship method? I know I can increase the price of my item to help offset this but prefer to give customers a fair deal on these bulk items and pass through our ship costs with no markup. Thank you

We've setup a rule through andy's tool: http://structured-solutions.net/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=RULEPROV-BV5

All of the items that require freight are added to the system with 0 weight. Rule catches any item that is 0 lbs. and excludes from shipping. We modified the sites shipping policy to display a corresponding message to the tune of "Items within your order are not included in this order. A sales rep will contact you shipping rates or feel free to contact us...."

I'll second Andy Miller's (Structured Solutions) Shipping Rate Rule Providers. We're using them on two client websites, and they work great. The sheer flexibility that they provide without any programming is pretty amazing.
