Hello,
I have been offereing multiple sku numbers for different colors of a single product for awhile. My present road block is some new product has 4 sku numbers that make up a product.....
Here is an example...
F5454 indicates this is a 4 Pocket BDU Coat 12 indicates this is 60/40 Cotton Poly Twill Fabric 001 indicates the BDU is black in color M1 indicaes this is size Medium Short.
Things to remember.
-There are roughly 5-6 fabric types so 5-6 differnt digits to indicate the fabric type
-There are roughly 18-20 colors and some are not available with every type of coat
-There are roughly 18 sizes.... Medium short, medium regular and medium long....
The final sku number for the above example is... F545412001M1
Any takers on how to combine all these sku's to one at checkout? |

Getting this much detail crammed into the SKU will be tough. I've been working with products that have over 3 million possible choice combinations. Aside from setting up each option as a kit and building products/SKU this way, I don't think you'll do it other than some custom programing.
A question, how will you keep the sku in order if a shopper makes choices out of order?
F545412001M1 could become M1F545412001 and be the same final product, no?
