I have category tabs that run across the top of my homepage. I have changed the name and added sub-categories to one of the categories. Now the tab does not work. When I click on the tab it shows and error message stating that the category can not be found. How do I fix the tab and also change the name of the tab?

Kathy, Can you provide a link to your site? That might give us a clearer picture of what's going on. Thanks! |

Kathy,
It looks like the tabs on your site are not dynamically generated from the database but rather manually coded into the HTML of the site theme. When you renamed the category you changed the URL of the category, but since the menu is not dynamically generated from the database, the menu link is still pointing to the old URL.
To make the change you will probably need to look at the header control (Header.ascx) or the master pages to change this. A quick fix would be to set the Rewrite URL field of the category to the old URL, forcing it to use the old URL. |
