I am considering ways of leveraging the BVC5 shopping cart to generate Gift Cards in set denominations that I can sell in physical venues. For example, I sell my products wholesale to stores as well as online directly to customers. I would like a way to sell packs of 7$ Gift Cards to my stores (Each with a unique key that can be entered at checkout), so that their customers can purchase the cards and come to my site to redeem them. Think of the gift cards sold near the check out stands at grocery stores.
Are there add-on products like this available or anyone who has implemented this kind of thing on their site?

I have done this before but not with BV. It is a great idea. What you will need to do is create a way to import your gift card numbers into the database. First you would create the gift cert and using that as a key import the GC numbers. No add-on that I know of for this presently so it would most likely be a custom job. |

Thanks for the info Kim. I've been checking out a lot of the custom plastic gift card printers online. Something like this is a real value for an online retailer that has a presence in brick and mortar locations. |
