Hi all,
I am trying to import products with categories using the V1-2-0-0 import tool.

Even though I have exported products that I have manually entered categories for the categories field comes up blank in the exported file so I have no idea what format/name the category field should be. I have tried the category name and also tried the bvin of the category from the exported category fields in the import file and no categories are imported with the products.

1- manually add a product to site

2- assign category to the product

3- export products

4- exported file shows the category field blank



Any ideas? I hate to think that I will have to set categories manually for 3000 products.

I can find no referece to the category id field anywhere in the documentation. What is and where is the category id generated?

I have some questions regarding unique Ids of products and categories .I am trying to import BV4 products XML file in BV5 by using the above import tool. I have converted the products XML file in cvs. Now I want to ask, how the unique IDs will be managed while importing the products.I have imported the category file successfuly.
