Does the import/export tool work on free stores?
Created new "Free" store. Didn't change a thing. It has sample categories and items.
Downloaded "BVC5-ImportTool-5.5.zip" from link in this forum, extracted files and ran "BVC5-ImportTool.exe".
Ran the app. In pop-up window entered:
Free store URL
http://myfreestore.bvcommerce.com (but "myfreestore" is not the REAL name!).
Username: Email address which is the "username" for logging into my store's dashboard
Password: Password that goes with above username
In next pop-up window I select the "categories" radio button then click on "Export" button.
I get the error shown in the attached jpg in a new pop-up window.
"Login Error: The request failed with the error message:
<html><head><title>Object moved</title></head></body>
<h2>Object moved to <a href="/Error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/WebServices3.asmx">here</a>,</h2>" etc.
After I close the first error window then I get another error message in a second pop-up window: "Login to store failed with username xxxxxxx. Check your settings and try again."
I need to test import/export tool functionality before large store is purchased. Let me know how I can do this. thanks!
