How does this work because I set it up for my store and its not working.
I have; Name : Free Shipping Over $50 Start Date: 8/1/2011 End Date: 12/31/2011 When customer orders as least: $50.01 Make this shipping method free: USPS - Priority Mail (2 - 3 Business Days) EXCEPT for items in these categories: (I excluded one category)
Use type: 5 per customer
When I have items to my cart items totaling $84.95. I still see a shipping charge.
Am I using this feature wrong or something? Does anyone else use this? |

You still see USPS - Priority Mail listed with a price instead of listed for free?
a) It's possible that your item doesn't qualify for USPS - Priority causing is to not show up.
b) Is the item $84.95 before shipping?
c) Do you normally see the USPS rates? For example, does USPS - Priority show up for smaller priced items? If not, maybe your USPS isn't configured correctly or your missing a source zip code, etc.

Marcus,
I believe what CM3Solutions is referring to is the following (just had a customer call me on what I am assuming to be the same issue).
The Scenario: There are 3 shipping methods setup in Acme store: a. local pickup - free b. Standard shipping c. Express shipping
Store owner adds an OFFER of free standard shipping if order is over $50, and requiring coupon code to be used. They blast this offer out to their shoppers. So now Jane Doe comes to store and adds items totaling more than $50 in their cart, enters the promo code for the free shipping, and goes to checkout page. What they see under shipping is just the a. Free local pickup - $0.00 c. Express shipping - $15.00
The standard shipping does not show in the options (although the shipping rate is showing "$0.00" down in the total fields), But it is confusing to shopper as there is no wording in the shipping options that is auto-selected saying "Standard Shipping - FREE"
Hope this helps. |
