I thought I remember a post from a while ago, inquiring about phone numbers on Paypal orders.


I have attached an updated paypal express checkout routine that captures the customers e-mail and attaches it to the order in bvc5. It also will display a textbox for a phone number to be entered if the bvc5 store is configured that a SHIPPING phone number is REQUIRED (Show will just take whatever paypal gives it which is usually blank) rather than the built in label. The textbox input requires a valid phone number to be entered using a combination of required field validators and a regex validator. The regex I used is very lazy and allows almost all text based inputs and was used mostly to ensure a minimum character length of 8 was entered (we sometimes get intl phone numbers).



To use,



Upload attached files to the "Paypal Express Checkout" folder of your Bvc5 web site (its under BVModules/Checkouts).



In your Paypal Express Settings change the CheckoutPageName to "PaypalCheckout.aspx".



I adopted this procedure to leave the original checkout files untouched. If you prefer you could rename the files and overwrite the Checkout.aspx/aspx.vb files that are already there and not have to modify the CheckoutPageName property.

This is a further update to this checkout procedure that corrects the Payer ID Invalid bug.
