Been working on whole sale customers but not seeing the light. My price levels do not seem to be working! I set up an account and set my price level and tried to place an order but there was no difference in prices.
Also I am looking for something where I can control the price on specific items rather then a general control. For some items the whole sale rate will be the same but for some specific item I want the offer a different whole sale price. Is this possible????

Thanks,

Be sure to fill in "MSRP" and "Price" when building your products. If filled in with the same amount, the site shows no discount. If different, the MSRP figure shows with a strike though, and the discount price (with "X% off") shows on the next line.

For discount customers (Price group), they need to be set up as a member of the price group, and they need to sign in to be recognized, of course.

Be sure to set up the price group so the discount comes off of the "Site price", not "List price". Dispite the fact that the product page labels the cost as the "List Price", only % or $ off of the "site price" works properly if there are any price modifiers (choices) that are to be chosen during ordering.

To discount diferently on particular items, set MSRP to the normal price, and set the "Price" lower... Price groups will get their discount off of the lowered price.

There may be a few other controls available, I haven't dug in any deeper...

Thanks, That work Great!!! How about this is this possible?

Is it possible to create wholesale pages on the site and only allow customers with a wholesale account and restrict customers with a regular account from searching seeing or ordering these items. The thing is that I only want to offer certain product as wholesale and the wholesale prices will vary from item to item rather than a specific percent or a specific value. You help in this manner would be great.

Check by demo on http://www.sterlingforest.net/Search2.aspx (use this search page not regular one.)

search for product "wholesale" - it wont show on search results.

Now login: username: wholesaleuser , password: wholesaleuser

now try again the search and item will show.

Similar:

on left category click on "retail/wholesale" all the way at bottom. (i will not be keeping this category for long)
you will see one product "retail" if you are not signed in

if you sign in as wholesaleuser - you will see 2 products, "retail" and "wholesale"
