Seems like the "NEW" image only appears on the crosssell or upsale sections. Seems like it is based off the "singleproductdisplay", is that correct?
I would like the "NEW" image to also display in catagory listings as well as in the recently viewed. I guess anywhere a new product is displayed i would lik to have the "NEW" image displayed. I would think that would draw customers to it.
Can this be done easily?
Thanks |

We've asked for this elsewhere in addition to "on sale" or "sale icons". This is probably something to be setup in the admin side..ie give us the option of what product layouts,category/homepage layouts we want it to appear on.
As intended though it's not working.

You can add the NEW image wherever you like in the meantime by copying the code from another display. I generally end up building my own product display to reference because the individual product displays in the application are kind of all over the place and inconsistent. But copying the code and testing for simple things like that are usually relatively strait-forward.
A SALE icon is possible, I'm sure, without requiring an administration interface. For example, the product on the bottom-right of this page (http://www.passengersonly.com/luggage/carry-on) shows the new icon (set in the admin), plus an icon that shows it has options (customizable), plus it shows the 'Was $200.00' when the product is 'on sale'. Sale, in this case, meaning the product price is less than the MSRP, but I'm sure you could use that concept to show anything you'd like, based on any kind of discounts, options, etc. |

I realize this is an old thread but I am not able to find a clear resolution to this question in the forums. We would like to copy the "BadgeImage" code from the singleproductdisplay and use it on category and product pages. Unfortunately, it produces the error below:
*Compiler Error Message: *BC30456: 'BadgeImage' is not a member of 'BVModules_CategoryTemplates_New_Products_List_Category'.
And unfortunately, I have no idea how to address the issue. Has anyone else had some success with this that they would be willing to share? |

You just need to copy the associated badge code from src\www\BVModules\Controls\SingleProductDisplay.ascx.vb to the code-behind of your New_Products_List_Category Wallace Miller -- Narrowpath Design

I tried that initially, but it produces this error message:
Compiler Error Message: BC30456: 'BadgeImage' is not a member of 'BVModules_CategoryTemplates_New_Products_List_Category'. |

Did you have any luck in getting the New Badge to display?
