Sale Price formatting on category pages

Hello,
We would like to update the sale price formatting on the category level pages. Right now if you change the sale pricing it changes all the pricing. We would just like products that are on sale to have the sale price text in RED. Regular / non-sale prices remain in black.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this?
