ASP.NET 2.0 lets you replace the built-in control renderers with your own using "Adapters". Here is a set of adapters that are very CSS friendly. For example, check out the HTML from the GridView adapter. |

I've been keeping an eye on those, it's great to see that they are making an effort. Just wish they were built in and weren't beta at this point. :) |
