For those of you who are scratching their heads who are using the add to cart option of staying on the page instead of going to checkout, and not seeing the add to cart message in red, here is a fix. With some of the themes, like Painted Paper, when a person goes to add an item to their cart, and the application has been set to remain at that particular item, there is a message that displays that indicates an item has been added to the cart. The problem is the message is currently displayed in black, which most people will not notice, so they will think the item has not been added to the cart. I have already had complaints about this, and I totally concur. The message should be red, as it is in some of the other themes, but I believe it is being overwritten by the primary theme, as the BV5 theme for the product page actually has red.


In order to fix, go to BVModules/Themes/Painted Paper/Styles/ and edit the styles.css file. Under the BVC 2004 Product Page Template, and the BVC 5 Product Page Template, add the following line;

.AddedToCartMessage {color: red}
