I have a problem that took me quite a while to reproduce and I don't think it's a result of any of my changes:



1. Create a Gift Certificate, Assign it to a category.

2. Goto Options->Site Settings->Inventory

2.1. Uncheck the "Disable Inventory"

2.2. Set Reserve Inventory on "Add to Cart"

3. Try to buy the Gift Certificate.

My BVC tells me in the cart: "<SPAN id=ctl00_MainContentHolder_MessageBox1_MessageText>Line Items In Your Cart Were Modified Due To Low Stock." and "Item's Quantity Was Modified Due To Low Stock." on the product line and resets the quantity to zero.

It took me a while to reproduce it. I had to run step 2 several times changing settings in there, but finally I managed to reproduce it on the primary installation and on the test one as well.



The line:

Dim val As String = Basket.UpdateItemQuantity(bvin, qty.Text.Trim).Message

in the GetCurrentLineItemQuantities in Cart.vb returns the message "Item stock is lower than quantity requested.".



But the item is a Gift Certificate, so quantities should not be tracked.



This is a store BVC 5.01 store with no SP installed.



Should I install the SP?
