Hi,
How can I mark an order that was payed with COD or over the telephone Paid?

I can't do it from the UI and my order remains on Unpaid all the time and I can't get rid of it from the dashboard.

Try going into the Order Manager under the Orders Tab. Select Unpaid under the payment drop down box or search for the order number. "View" the order you want to pay, then select the payment button.

Here you can do all kinds of neat things like receive the check, deposit the check, edit the order, make adjustments to the price, give them discounts, switch to pay by credit card.

I loved this feature in BV4 and BV5 has even more buttons to click on. I get a customer on the phone that wants an adjustment or made a mistake on the order and I can fix it like magic.

Bob,
I have an order with COD or "Purchase Order" and when I go to Order/Payment and I see "COD/Uncollectible". There is no way for me to mark it paid without adding a new payment method to it.
But I don't want to add a new payment method. I just want to mark it paid :)

Well, a COD or purchase order are non collectable orders. A cod or purchase order is marked as paid by accepting a cash, check, credit card payment, etc... So if you had a purchase order, then when the person finally paid the purchase order they would pay it using some form of payment such as a check, cash, etc...

Hmm ... ok .. I was using the Purchase Order to simulate what we have as "DirectDeposit" (Money Transfer) so all I want is mark the order as paid.
But I see what you mean.

Sorry for the confusion. If there is some way in which we can make the process easier, such as making a "Direct Deposit" payment method, then please let us know! We would then be able to track some details about the payment such as deposit id or something.

It would be very nice if you could add a Direct Deposit/Money Transfer method.
Also, can you add a "PayPal Buy Now" payment method.
I can give you the code for it as I have it working on my site :)
However my implementation is "hacking" the use of COD during the placement of the order and is then switching the payment method to "PayPal Express" when the PayPal IPN is hit with the confirmation of the transfer.
