I haven't seen this addressed, and am surprised that it hasn't been.
We have categories with literally thousands of products and if we do a search on a large category, it tries (and fails) to load the results page as we have designed. This is because the search page (search.aspx) has no code that I can see that will allow paging...even though paging is used throughout the Admin Module.
Is there a way to modify search.aspx to use paging or will I have to use the product grid to accomplish this?

Hello Mike.
We'll look at resolving this issue in Service Pack 2. |

Nick, Please add an option to not show duplicate products in the search results. The search in this momment will return the same product multiple times if the product is part of multiple categories. Thanks, Corneliu. |

I would also like to see only one result where a product is in multiple categories. I currently have a cart that does this. It can be done, because you first set up the initial product normally and assign it to one category. If you want the same product in mutiple categories, you "copy" it to all the other categories. When a search is done, the search only includes the original one. Also, when you change the original product specifications, all the copied ones in the other categories are also changed at the same time.

We are somewhat confused on this guys, the way that the search stored proc is setup, you should not be receiving multiple results from the same product. The only way this could happen is if you have multiple search terms. Since we split the search terms up and try them individually.
And Bob, BVC5 supports products being in multiple categories, and we support a product being in multiple categories. If you change the product, it is changed in all categories. Again, I'm not sure where you are seeing this issue, thanks. |

The only place I'm seeing search items listed more then once is when you put more then one term in the search box.
