Has anyone installed BVC5 directly from the SP1 install files? I have made the assumption that these Installer files were designed to be used as a clean install of BVC5 with SP1 already integrated. After installation which runs fine, I get an error when creating a store that when the "Setting Defaults..." procedure is run, it errors with "Invalid object name 'dbo.bvc_WebAppSetting'." I'm wondering if the SP1 release accidentally uses an Alter Procedure Statement instead of Create procedure?
Has anyone else run an install direct from the SP1 install files and had success? |

We've had a few users run into this issue. Each resolved by completely uninstalling the software and running the utility again.
We're investigating a fix for SP2. |

That Worked.
One thing I noticed that may assist in tracking down the issue is that it appears that the issue lies in the fact that the tables, etc never get created. Despite the error occuring when the "Set Defaults" is running, it appears the problem lies right from the beginning.
I came to this conclusion from 2 facts:
1. Previously, the "Create" stuff steps would be instantious, whereas today it took a few seconds each.
2. Should have realized this yesterday, but when looking at the Database created by the software after the error, it is blank despite the software reporting that it has created stuff. |
