Hey Gang,

I have a client who is looking to expand their reail business online.

It would be ideal if the store inventory and website inventory would work realtime from the same source.
I didn't notice any inventory integration (Like into Retail Pro).

Are there any such methods available to hook BV Commerce 5 into real-time inventory with retail location systems?
Or, is this software adequate to set up a couple of reduntant internet connections, and set up a few laptops at the retail checkout counter, and use the website to manage the store sales as well?

Thanks for any info and advice.

Dave we have a connector between BV Commerce and QuickBooks POS that can synchronize inventory between the two.

Dave,

My client is using the QB POS connector from Marcus. Working with them for years, I strongly suggest that you do not use the website to handle the retail sales of the physical store.

I suggest that you allow the POS to manage physical and online sales. If you are using UPC codes, managing inventory, multiple retail locations, etc... while I love BV5, it is designed for online commerce, I wouldn't try to use it for anything else.

My two cents :)

Thanks for those quick replies.

Glad to hear there's a tie-in for Quickbooks POS.

Is that the only tie-in at the moment?
I'm not sure what software the retail location is using, (will find out on my next visit), but I would love to find out that there are already connectors for most major retail POS systems.

Thanks Again,
-Dave

We have a connector for regular QuickBooks Accounting software also. QuickBooks POS is the only Point of Sale application that we currently integrate with out of the box.
