On the basket level shipping calculator, when dealing with shipments of multiple parcels of identical weight, I'm seeing a non-linear relationship of the number of parcels and the shipping cost. I would expect the cost of multiple parcels of identical weights to be an integer multiple of the single parcel shipping cost. But thats not the case. An example looks like:
1 parcel at 13.65
2 parcels at 13.45/ea.
3 parcels at 13.22/ea.
4 parcels at 11.67/ea.
5 parcels at 12.08/ea.
No handling charges are added.
The UPS published rate was 13.65 in this example. The items are specified to ship separately in the admin panel.

The issue is that items that are marked as "ship separately" do not ship with other items, but if an order has multiples of a "ship separately" item, then they will be shipped together. We will modify this in SP2 to work the way you would expect. |
