Hello,
My host resposio.com is extremely up to date with BV Commerce 5.
Suggest you contact Noah at resposio.com. I am sure
he can help you.

BVC5 can be setup with most any web host that supports ASP.net 2.0 and Sql Server 2005. There are a number of hosts though that have a lot of experience in setting up and configuring bvc5 which can definitely come in handy.

I recommend contacting Noah at www.resposio.com.

We are on the other side of the planet in Australia and despite the time zone factor, still get far better service, support and site performance than any other host we have tried. Their intimate knowledge of BV will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Cheers

Thanks for the feedback

I guess what I am really looking for is outside of reposio having knowledge of BVCommerce product what they supply in their premium package for $150/month vs 1and1 which offers what looks like the same stuff minus knowledge of the setup of the product for $20 and 1and1 offers up 250gb space more transfer per month... basically more of everything for a much cheaper price.

So why go resposio which seems to offer less for considerable more monthly fee

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a cheap web host, there are cheaper ones out there.

However if load times, knowledge of BV, search engine position, and customer support are concerns, you might want to consider Resposio or BVCommerce (they host as well) or some of the other high end hosts you find in these forums. I'm betting all those recommended by BVCommerce are considered reputable and BV knowledgeable.

Just as an example, it took Noah (Resposio) quite a while to transfer my BV4 data base over to his sever from my previous (inexpensive) host. Apparently one of the updates wasn't installed properly. There were still some problems that even Noah couldn't fix without a total rebuild. The problems weren't anything I couldn't live with and moving to BV5 got rid of them. BV5 is basically new software, not just an upgrade.

If price is an issue, I would still recommend someone with BV5 experience. If price is your only concern, i think there are hosts out there for $9.95.

I also host with Noah at www.resposio.com on a dedi server and I must say the added money spent is WELL spent. I've hosted with many different companies over the years and for what it will cost you in time trying to get something set up or corrected it will cost less in the long run hosting with someone who knows whats going on. I noticed my SSL cert expired on Thursday night at 8:34pm and sent Noah an E-mail, I had my new SSL cert paid for and installed by 9:29pm. That type of support isn't going to happen for $20 a month. As with anything else you get for what you pay for.
