The on-line manual doesn't come close to assisting me here...

1. A customer orders 3 Small widgets shipped to the same address. They are 5 pounds each and each individually ships in a 12" x 12" x 12" box. I can ship all 3 in one box at 15 pounds. How do I set up shipping to do this and get a proper shipping cost from Fed Ex at checkout?

2. A customer orders 3 Larger widgets shipped to the same address. They are 35 pounds each and have to ship separately in 3, 24" x 24" x24" boxes. How do I set up shipping so I get 3 separate shipping costs and 3 separate tracking numbers?

3. A customer orders 3 Larger widgets shipped to different addresses. They are 35 pounds each and have to ship separately in 3, 24" x 24" x24" boxes. How do I set up shipping so I get 3 separate shipping costs and 3 separate tracking numbers? Is this available function set up by me before the customer enters my store, or does the customer get to do this at checkout?

4. Can some products have a fixed shipping cost to match the costs shown in my reseller's catalogs, while other products follow different rules? How do I ship 2 in the same box without doubling the shipping costs?

5. In Dashboard > Catalog > Edit Product, the shipping area has choices for weight, dims, and Ship Mode. I see no other way to tell the catalog how I want this product's shipping configured in the manual. Is there an area I haven't found yet?

6. I ONLY ship via Fed Ex Ground. How do I remove the other shipping choices from the checkout?

I'm not jabbing sticks in anyone's cage here, I'd just like to take advantage of some cool features without a week's worth of trial and error + stumbling around in the dark. If the tools I need are right in front of me, They aren't explained well enough for me to use.

Seeing how many replies you have, I'll chip in what I can. I use UPS, but will assume the shipping methods generally function the same. I'll tell you what I've observed with the UPS shipping method. I should also add that I use Worldship independently of BVC5, and I don't depend on BVC5's built-in shipping functions. Essentially, for what I do, I just need BVC5 to charge the customer accurately at the time of checkout so that we don't have to modify charges at a later time.

1. BVC5 will give you the total shipping cost for the entire package, summing the weights of each widget. The UPS shipping estimates are "basket-level."

2. Ideally, I think you'd still just want a grand total for the shipping cost, instead of showing 3 separate shipping costs. For instance, if one Larger widget costs $15 to ship, the shipping calculator should return $45 as the shipping cost for a basket of 3 Larger widgets. Anyway, this functionality isn't there yet. And with tracking numbers, I don't know how BVC presents those. We simply use the order number as a reference number when we create the shipment in worldship. Then we use that reference number to provide tracking of the shipment, including each parcel within the shipment.

3. To my knowledge, you don't get that functionality with BVC5. The customer would have to place 3 separate orders to get 3 different shipping costs to 3 different addresses.

4. For the products with fixed shipping costs, perhaps you could use the "Extra ship fee" field combined with a zero product weight, and set the extra fee equal to the fixed shipping cost. It doesn't address 2 products in a single box though.

5. It's the only way I'm aware of.

6. Options > Site Settings > Shipping. Delete all the shipping methods. Then add FedEx and select FedEx ground for the service. From the admin panel it looks like it should work, or at least that's how I'd expect it to work.
