I have been holding out, trying to avoid asking this question.. but here it is. When are you guys planning on releasing SP2?

Hehe, I've been quietly wondering too. I will probably launch my BVC5 site this weekend, but have been holding out to hear when SP2 will be out. And are there features worth waiting for? (For me that would be gift wrapping, kits, Google payments, etc...) :) |

SP2 will be Google Checkout and bug fixes. We are working hard on SP2 and hope to have the first beta out in a week or two. We want to make sure that we get all known bug fixes into it and then we want to have a nice beta cycle before we release it officially so that people can make sure that we have properly addressed their issues. |

Key word is known.
Hey. I got in on the Vanguard Beta! Can I get in on this one too? I want to check out the offers.

Justin,
Perhaps you could post a list of fixes and changes ASAP so those of us in the middle of creating a store can decide to either: postpone and wait post fixup, or plan to work around known problems.
Coming from brand X6, I'm unable to determine if my on-screen results (good or bad) are 1. on purpose, 2. a known bug not to be fixed, 3. a bug that will be fixed in SP2, 4. Operator error.
Thanks. |

We are going to release a list of fixes once SP2 goes beta, but currently we do not have a running list. We are working hard to fix all known bugs. |

I purchased BV 5 on Sept 15th. We are still using BV4... I have been waiting patiently for the bulk of the problems to be solved. We still have a copy of BV5 running it test mode, but I do not intent to go live until most of the bugs are resolved.

Dean, I laid my money down in March and have been holding out too. SP2 will be good for launch. |

I didn't know BV5 had been out since March.

BV Commerce 5 was released in September but customers who purchase starting in March qualified for a free upgrade.

Will SP2 be a free upgrade? I would hope so since these are bug fixes.

Of course SP2 will be free. We would never charge for a service pack, only major releases. |
