Another important question is about all the detailed features in BV5. In particular I'd like to know if the following are already available:

* Disable buy buttons for specific products
* Set Site, or part of it, to Wholesale Only (Prices not shown to general site customers)
* Downloadable products support, with automatic e-mail to customer with download instructions (maybe with a serial generator for each downloaded product per customer)
* Password Protected Products
* Support for Kits (build to order products). Support for Packs. (I know this will be implemented in a certain SPx release, but when exactly?)
* Micro-payments support (mobile wallet and its relative gateway)
TIA again. Have a nice day! :-)

1) Yes, you can disable the "buy" button for specific products by setting them to "out of stock, display on site but do not allow purchase" 2) You can create a wholesale price group and only show retail prices until someone logs into the site and belongs to the wholesale group. 3) Yes, we support downloadable products. You will need to create your own license generator modules and plug it into our workflow system if you generate license keys for downloadable items. 4) We do not have built in support for password protected products at this time. 5) We support PayPal (soon Google Checkout, too) and dozens of credit card gateways. Mobile Wallet is not currently supported.

Marcus, How can you do this (the second part of the answer): You can create a wholesale price group and ---only show retail prices until someone logs into the site and belongs to the wholesale group---? Thanks, Corneliu. |

Corneliu,
1) Go to Options->Workflows in the admin 2) Edit the Product Pricing Workflow 3) Add the "Override Price with Text" task 4) Use the "Anonymous" checkbox so that logged in users see the normal price and non-logged in users see the text.

so your suggesting showing the "override price" to all customer and setting the text to retail price and logged in users can see "normal" price which is your wholesale price?
wouldnt this show to all logged in members and not just a member of the wholesale group?

Looks like I misread Corneliu's post. I thought he wanted to hide prices until the customer logged in.
To display retail prices unless you're in the wholesale group all you need to do is create a price group (in the People section) and assign a discount off the retail price or above cost. All customers who aren't members of the price group will get normal retail prices. Members of that group will see discounted prices once they log in.
