Hi, My client intends to expand his existing retail operation Online. I need to integrate the existing retail system with BVC in terms of pushing catalog data from the current system tables to BVC and same for order information coming from BVC order tables.
I need to get information about the database as to how the tables are affected through its control panel catalog management. Is there anyway of getting a standalone trial to install on my PC showing the database? Or is there a good documentation exposing this part so that I can make a decision?
Also, are the issues of manipulating the menus for navigational purpose easily documented for an HTML coder to make changes to it.
I have tried AspDotNetanother ecommerce product in both of these matters and we are having some problems but they provided the database schema in a good way for us to examine and plan.
We need to decide on one product or the other and your prompt reply to us is very important at this time.
Regards,
Hany

You can also use the BV Commerce 5 web service methods to integrate the existing retail operation with BVC5. Vritually the entire API is exposed. One advantage of using the web service methods is that they do not change even if the schema is changed by a service pack. |
