Okay - probably another question that has been asked and answered but ..
and by the way, it's refreshing to be on an ecommerce forum with some "company" participation and answers
back to the question:
I'm playing with the demo store and can't seem to find how to set so that the inventory displays for the products -- either says XX in stock or "In stock" or "Out of Stock."
Can this be set for each Customer Choice? What I am needing to set up is:
Product A -- Bird Food
Choice 1 is 1lb bag for $6.00 Choice 2 is 5lb bag for $25.00 Choice 3 is 25lb bag for $99.00
can I display inventory for each modifier/choice (i'm still a little lost as to what these are called as the Documentation talks about Choices and Modifiers, yet the demo store has "Variations" -- so that's confusing.
Thanks again!

Hello Joe, The scenario that you describe is not natively supported in BV Commerce 5. The program could be easily modified to display the inventory in the manner which you suggest, however this would involve some custom programming. If you require this feature, our development team can be contacted at: http://www.bvsoftware.co...-Consulting/Default.aspxor a preferred parter could assist: http://www.bvsoftware.com/Partners/Default.aspxThank you for your interest in BV Commerce 5. Joe,
It would take less than an hour to add a label to the product page that would display this information. All of the stock information is available in the product object which is already loaded in the page.

Thanks Everett and Marcus! and sure you don't mean it would only take ME an hour to do that! :-) If it would take a good developer/programmer an hour to do that, then that would probably be worth the money to pay someone who really knows what they are doing!
So I'll be giving a shout when I reach that point! The first step for me is importing all my data -- how do I gain access to the import modules (SF6 to BV2004 and BV2004 to BV5)?? |

Joe,
The SF6 to BVC5 tools is almost ready. We should be shipping it next week so if you can wait a couple of days it will save you some time. If you need to move ahead now let me know and I can get you the SF6 to BVC2004 tool. The BVC2004 to BVC5 migration tool is available in the Tools and Downloads section of the forum.
