Hello,
Are order numbers generated ONLY when someone successfully checks-out and makes a purchase or will a order number be created at the time of adding the 1st item in the shopping cart? (so if the visitor then abondons the shopping cart, the order number just won't be a completed order but the order number still gets incremented)

Order Numbers are only generated after the customer clicks the "Place Order" button. Customers who abandon shopping carts will not get order numbers.
