I am requeting that when kitting is introduced, possibly with SP3, that there also be shared kits.


This is where the same group of items would be assigned to many products. Changing the content of the kit will change the content of all the products the kit is assigned to.

This would be similar to the shared accessories available in BVC4 and is not available in BVC5.

This can be used by Computer Retailers, possibly gift basket retailers and anyone else using kitting.

I need this because I have about 140 products that share common option lists composed of other products. The "Product shown" is not sold by itself. Need to be sold in combination of one of the options, which is a product that can be sold by itself.

I occasionally have to add or delete the product options (which are other products) for all 140 products at the same time. Would be easy if a shared kits function was available to do this and change the kit in one place.
